Use Zesd in ChatGPT and Claude
Plan your meals and price the shopping from the assistant you already use
Zesd works inside ChatGPT and Claude. Ask for a week of dinners and Zesd picks recipes from its catalogue, works out the shopping list and tells you what it costs at Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and Ocado. Zesd is for the UK, and every price is in pounds.
What it can do
- Plan meals: a set of dinners for your household, with a price range at each supermarket.
- Change the plan: keep the ones you like, swap the rest, leave out what you don't eat, or use up what's in the fridge.
- Find recipes: search by dish, ingredient or need ("quick", "high protein", "cheap").
- Compare prices: what a set of recipes costs at each supermarket.
- With your Zesd account connected: save a plan as a shop, read your saved shops, swap a product on the shopping list, and load your supermarket cart. Your household, diet, allergies and dislikes are used unless you say otherwise.
Zesd never checks out or pays. A loaded cart waits in your own supermarket account for you to review and buy. Supermarket passwords and one-time codes are only ever entered in the Zesd app, never in the chat.
Things to ask
- "Plan five dinners for two adults and a child, nothing that takes more than 30 minutes."
- "Swap the third one for something vegetarian, and no mushrooms."
- "I've got chicken thighs and half a bag of spinach to use up. What can I make this week?"
- "Which supermarket is cheapest for these meals?"
- "Save this to Zesd and load my Asda cart."

How to connect
Zesd is on its way into Claude's and ChatGPT's directories. Until it is listed there, add it by its address: https://app.zesd.co.uk/mcp. Your Claude or ChatGPT plan has to allow custom connectors.
Claude
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Zesd, paste the address above, and choose Add.
- Turn Zesd on for a conversation from the tools menu, then ask away. The first time you save a shop or load a cart, Claude asks you to connect: sign in to Zesd with the Apple or Google account you use in the app, and choose Allow.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Settings → Plugins, choose Add, then Add custom MCP server.
- Name it Zesd, paste the address above, choose OAuth for authentication, then Create as a plugin and Connect Zesd.
- Sign in to Zesd with the Apple or Google account you use in the app, and choose Allow.
You don't need a Zesd account to plan meals and compare prices. You do need one to save shops and load carts.
Your privacy
When you connect your Zesd account, ChatGPT or Claude can read and change your Zesd shops, and start a cart load in your supermarket account. They can't see your supermarket passwords. What you say to the assistant is handled by OpenAI or Anthropic under their own privacy policies; Zesd only receives what the assistant sends to its tools, such as the number of meals or the recipes you picked. We keep a record of which tools were used, and when, for 180 days. To disconnect, remove Zesd in the assistant's settings, or email support@zesd.co.uk and we'll revoke its access. Read the full privacy policy.
